Privacy policy

1. Data controller

OLI 1938 SARL, located at 25 Rue Ali Chemli, El Manar 2, 2092 Tunis, Tunisia, is responsible for the use of the information received in connection with your enquiries.

If you have any questions, please contact: Abassi_moez@oli1938.com. WhatsApp Business: +216 20 315 735.

2. Contact details and how to contact us

The website allows you to submit an enquiry or request a quote via the contact form or via your “My request” selection. The information to be provided is:

• full name
• email address
• country
• subject of the enquiry
• message content

The selected products, quantities and units can be added to the message. No form data is stored in a request database on the website. You can choose to open your email or WhatsApp, and then edit the message before confirming that you wish to send it. Opening the chosen service may automatically populate it with the pre-filled text.

3. Use and recipients

The information you provide is used by Moez Abbassi, manager of OLI 1938, to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote if required, and follow up on your correspondence. It is not used to subscribe you to a newsletter and is neither sold nor hired out. Depending on the channel chosen, communications involve your email provider, OLI 1938’s email provider or WhatsApp. These services also apply their own privacy policies and may process data abroad. VIPDomaine, the website’s hosting provider, may process technical connection data for the operation and security of the hosting service. Data processing is governed by applicable Tunisian legislation. Where the GDPR applies, requests for quotations are based on the pre-contractual measures requested by the visitor; general information and security are based on OLI 1938’s legitimate interest in managing communications and protecting its services.

4. Retention

The form fields are not stored in the website’s database. Once submitted, messages received are stored in OLI 1938’s communication tools for as long as is necessary to process and follow up on your enquiry, and are then deleted, unless there is a need to retain them due to a commercial relationship or a legal obligation.

5. Cookies and external services

The website does not use Google Analytics or advertising trackers. Temporary storage in your browser only retains the products, quantities and units added to “My request”, to enable it to function during the session. Images and videos are hosted on the website. The map in the Contact section is provided by Google Maps: it loads from Google’s servers when the section is displayed, and Google may then receive your IP address. Links to WhatsApp and messaging services (Gmail) open external services subject to their own terms and conditions and privacy policies.

6. Your rights

Under the applicable regulations, you may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, and you may object to certain processing activities. Where the GDPR applies, the rights to restriction of processing and data portability may also be exercised in accordance with the conditions set out therein.
